Dialogue About the SSPX is Brewing

So, this has happened:

Suburbicarian Diocese of Albano

NOTIFICATION TO PASTORS [PARISH PRIESTS]
ON THE "SOCIETY OF SAINT PIUS X"

In the past few weeks, requests of clarification have reached the Diocesan Chancery regarding the celebration of Sacraments at the "Society of Saint Pius X" of Albano Laziale.

Regarding it, it is right and proper to point out that the above-mentioned "Society" is not an institution (neither parish, nor association) of the Catholic Church.

This applies even after the decree of the Congregation for Bishops of January 21, 2009, by which the Holy Father Benedict XVI, reaching out in good will in response to reiterated requests by the Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X, revoked the excommunication in which the four Prelated had incurred since June 30, 1988.

This was highlighted by Benedict XVI with his Letter to the Bishops of the Catholic Church of March 10, 2009:"the Society has no canonical status in the Church, and its ministers – even though they have been freed of the ecclesiastical penalty – do not legitimately exercise any ministry in the Church." (in AAS CI [2009], n. 4, p. 272). The same Benedict XVI, in the following Letter m. p. Ecclesiae Unitatem, of July 2, 2009, added: "the remission of the excommunication was a measure taken in the context of ecclesiastical discipline to free the individuals from the burden of conscience constituted by the most serious of ecclesiastical penalties. However, the doctrinal questions obviously remain and until they are clarified the Society has no canonical status in the Church and its ministers cannot legitimately exercise any ministry." (in AAS CI [2009], p. 710-711).

As a consequence of the above, it is right and proper to restate what had been formulated in the Pastoral Note on the Society of Saint Pius X of [former bishop of Albano] Dante Bernini, in which it can be read:

The Catholic faithful cannot participate at Mass, neither request and/or receive Sacraments from or in the Society. Acting otherwise would mean to break communion with the Catholic Church.

Therefore, any Catholic faithful who requests and receives Sacraments in the Society of Saint Pius X, will place himself de facto in the condition of no longer being in communion with the Catholic Church. A readmission to the Catholic Church must be preceded by an adequate personal path of reconciliation, according to the ecclesiastical discipline established by the Bishop.

It is sincerely saddening that such options [measures], particularly when in reference to the Christian Initiation of Children and Adolescents, be in constrast with the pastoral orientations of the Italian Church and, consequently, with the choices of the Diocese of Albano, where formative paths for the growth and maturation of the life of faith are favored.

To the Parish priests, the duty of providing adequate information to the faithful.

From the Albano Chancery, October 14, 2014, Prot. 235/14.

I honestly don't know what to say.  I neither attend SSPX services, nor would I recommend anyone to them.  I'm a Catholic, so I recommend people to the Catholic Church.

However, I do recognize some decent things that have come out of the SSPX community.  One is the preservation of the Tridentine Latin Mass.  Indeed, it is likely the SSPX who is the lone cause for the creation of the FSSP (which I sometimes attend) as well as a new surge in diocesan Latin Masses (which I mainly attend).  Yet, the SSPX is also responsible for providing a robust intellectual front against the horror of Modernist thought.  I enjoy this fact immensely, and I've gained a lot from my discussions with people who support the SSPX.

However...the letter speaks for itself.

I have a feeling that we're going to see more discussions about exactly what the SSPX is before the next Synod meeting next year.

My mind has never been made up on the matter.  I've avoided the issue.  But the issue is making itself bold, plain, and obvious these recent days.  I will be looking forward to future discussions about it.

Prophecy: Father Constant Louis Marie Pel

Here is a note about a priest who Saint Padre Pio himself thought was a great saint.

From Bishop William's Eleison Comments:

Father Constant Louis Marie PEL (1876–1966) is not a name well-known among the souls gifted by God with a knowledge of how God is going to set today’s world straight, but for those who knew him he was a priest very close to God. Doctor in theology, seminary professor, founder of a convent for women and of a seminary for men, with a great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, he was a personal friend of Padre Pio who said of him to some French pilgrims in San Giovanni Rotondo, “Why do you come to see me when you have so great a Saint in France?”

Fr Pel would spend nights on his feet in church with his forehead leaning against the Tabernacle, conversing with God in a permanent ecstasy. He died in a car accident just after Vatican II, but not before a seminarian, one of his spiritual sons, had been able to note down a prophecy of his, dating from 1945, concerning the chastisement which will strike France in particular. Here it is, quoted or abbreviated:—

“My son,” said Fr Pel, “know that with the sins of the world increasing in horror as this age wears on, great punishments from God will come down on the world and no continent will be spared by the Wrath of God. France being guilty of apostasy and denying its vocation will be severely chastised. East of a line stretching from Bordeaux in the south-west to Lille in the north-east, everything will be laid waste and set on fire by peoples invading from the east, and also by great flaming meteorites falling in a rain of fire upon all the earth and upon these regions especially. Revolution, war, epidemics, plagues, chemical poison gases, violent earthquakes and the re-awakening of France’s extinct volcanoes will destroy everything . .

“France to the west of that line will be less affected . . . because of the faith rooted in the Vendée and in Brittany . . . but any of God’s worst enemies seeking refuge there from the worldwide cataclysm will be found out, wherever they hide, and put to death by devils, because the Wrath of the Lord is just and holy. Thick darkness caused by the war, gigantic fires and fragments of burning stars falling for three days and nights will cause the sun to disappear, and only candles blessed on Candlemas (February 2) will give light in the hands of believers, but the godless will not see this miraculous light because they have darkness in their souls.

“In this way, my son, three quarters of mankind will be destroyed, and in certain parts of France survivors will have to go 60 miles to find another live human being . . . . Several nations will disappear off the face of the map . . . . A France thus purified will become the renewed “Eldest Daughter of the Church,” because all the Cains and Judases will have disappeared in this ‘Judgment upon the Nations’”. This Judgment is not yet the end of times, but so great is the punishment due to the sins of the nations that Our Lord told Fr Pel that the desolation at world’s end will be lesser.

Dear readers, what do we conclude? Let each of us strive with might and main, and with the help of the Catholic sacraments given to us by God for that purpose, to live in God’s grace and not in the state of sin, and let us make full use of the time he gives us between now and the Hour of his Justice to pray for the largest possible number of sinners to repent and save their souls for eternity when the Chastisement closes in. God, have mercy. Mary, help.

Kyrie eleison.

Obama Praises OKC Mosque After Beheading Victim's Funeral

"Prove you're not racist!  Vote for me!"
Just to give you an idea of where Obama's loyalties lie, your Muslim president decided to praise the service of the very mosque that hosted killer and decapitator, Alton Nolen.  President Hussein praised the mosque Nolen attended one day after the funeral of Nolen's victim, Colleen Hufford.

I wouldn't be surprised if our Muslim president doesn't give the man a full pardon before the end of his term.

The Muslims here in Oklahoma seem to be getting a rather nasty string of discontented insults.  This is probably due to the fact that the cult they pledge their lives to has a legacy of mercilessness.

Slaughtering and harassing non-Muslims has been the general characteristic of Muslims throughout the centuries.*

Honestly, the writing is on the wall about Islam.  The nature of Mohammed's cult is obvious, and it takes real effort to block out the reality of Islam's fruits.  Left-wing people either tend to be masters of self-deception, or they are utterly, completely, and hopelessly blind.  If Obama's praise for the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City seems insulting to Christians, it is probably meant to be.

The unspoken marriage between liberalism and Islam continues.

"Islam has been at a continuous war against non-Muslims for almost 1400 years (since Muhammad.)"

Ebola arrives: Wait 'till November

Today, I've recently read a concerned person's question about Ebola: is it really going to become a full pandemic?

My response to that person's question was the following:

Basically, if by the end of November we see more cases of Ebola in the United States, then yes, it is about to occur on a massive scale.

It will happen either quickly or slowly.

I am hoping it will be slowly. I am hoping this will proceed in a matter of months, perhaps extend over years.  It would be disastrous if Ebola just broke out everywhere in the US within a month's time.

Consider this:
What happens next in the epidemic will be determined in part by mathematics. As of Friday, the WHO had reported 7,470 confirmed or likely cases, and 3,431 deaths in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Currently, each infected person is infecting about two more. To slow the spread of the disease and eventually stop it, officials must somehow reverse the math. Only when each Ebola patient infects, on average, fewer than one person will the outbreak begin to fade.

At this point, while things are still normal and okay, I'd recommend you do the whole amateur prepper thing if you want to get ahead of the curve. Get some food put away, some water, a weapon or two and some ammunition.

Also, to protect yourself from the virus more, you might want to avoid shopping for groceries at Wal-Mart or lower class markets. You'll have to spend a bit more money and shop at the rich person markets. Why? Because this Ebola virus is going to hit the lower classes first.

Different cities are starting to assure their citizens that there is no need to panic and everything is under control. The CDC also is trying to keep everyone calm. However, keep in mind that the CDC will lie about their statistics when it's convenient.

Finally, if you are like me, and you are on the front lines as a health worker, I've located this thread at a little place I attend now and then. In this forum's thread, health workers are discussing what they see in their institutions and their expectations of the Ebola threat:
